It's tiny, it's rundown, and all you've got is R500 and one very rusty hatchback.

Time to get your hands dirty.

SCRAP YARD TYCOON is a satisfying dismantling and business game. Inspect every wreck, unbolt engines, wheels, batteries, radiators, doors and catalytic converters, then feed what's left into a hydraulic crusher and watch it come out as a neat cube of cash.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Inspect wrecks to discover their condition and hidden value

- Strip parts piece by piece with wrenches, impact guns, grinders and an engine hoist

- Hunt for rare parts and treasure hiding in trunks

- Crush stripped shells into cubes of scrap for cash

- Buy better tools, a forklift, an industrial crusher and more storage

- Hire workers who earn money even while you're away

- Expand from 2 bays to a 10-bay salvage empire

I had a good time with this! I really only have a few small suggestions:

  1. The Market shouldn’t close every time you buy a car. Watching the trailer bring in a new unlocked car is neat the first few times you see it, , but after that I really would like to fill my bays without going back into the Market menu every time.

  2. I also would like to lock certain items in storage. I should be able to keep an >85% engine in storage. I would even see that as an upgrade, possibly by assigning one of your workers to the warehouse.

Again fun game and an interesting concept. Thanks for sharing it!

Thanks so much, great suggestions! Both are in the new update: the Market now stays open after you buy, so you can fill all your bays in one go, and you can lock parts in Storage so Sell all and auto-sell leave them alone. Perfect for saving that 85%+ engine for an order. Keep slots grow as you upgrade Storage. Thanks for playing!

I really enjoyed watching the Pip Hatch come apart part by part, with the queued parts and the 'Sell all' button making every tap feel rewarding. The foreman's step-by-step tutorial is a friendly way in, too. Thank you for making this!

Thanks for your comment

I dont mind AI being used to prototype a game, and this is a cool concept. But i really hope you plan to add your own art and sounds. The AI program that everybody is using has the same sound effects and art style.

Good day its browser sounds its used to avoid making the game too big ill look into the sounds thank you for your comment

The early game was fun, but the mid & late game is just boring. things are too expensive for the amount of money you can earn, no way to automate car dismantling, and no way to upgrade the queue count to give us some breathing room. by themselves, they're fine, I've played games before where you need a lot of money to progress or need to stay active to make an impact, but having both at once on top of the tedious gameplay makes it hard to stay motivated.

Please add a way to upgrade the queue so that you can queue up more dismantling and not stuck with 10 at a time. alternatively, change the worker so that they help auto dismantle the cards (because they're way too expensive for the current income). the premise is decent but the gameplay just gets boring the longer it goes on.

Thanks for the honest feedback! I can see what you mean. I'm looking at improving the queue system, worker automation, and late-game economy. Appreciate you giving the game a chance! 👍

Your AI doesn't understand that opening the options menu isn't supposed to go behind everything else on the screen.

Thanks For your Feedback I'm fixing it

While the early game was quite fun, it does start to drag and have some issues.

The fact that your work queue is shorter than all the parts on a single car (at least the later ones) is rather annoying.  Then the fact that you cannot automate that part of the game at all is also not great.  While the workers slowly making money is nice, personally I think hiring a worker should let you assign on to a car and they (more slowly) inspect and disassemble the car.

The only other thing is that the XP / whatever to achieve level 9+ is REALLY slow.

Thanks for the feedback! 👍 I'm working on improvements to make the late game more enjoyable. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!
